Hello again. It seems like the weeks keep flying by!

Tuesday:

I made chapati and stew while Elder Nakale weekly planned for us. We ended up staying at the flat until 4:00, waiting for president Pule to come fix our broken water pipe (preventing us from using any water) and our front and back doors.

We taught a handful of lessons today, but the best was with the Rabakoko family (members). We read D&C 8 with them since that's where they are in their family study. We had a great discussion on it and the blessings that come through prayer, faith, magnifying gifts, and the priesthood.

Wednesday:

We had a funny district council to start the morning, in Elder Machisu's prayer he asked that “we can work smart and not hard”. There may have been a few laughs during his prayer

We taught 9 or 10 lessons today, they were all decent lessons that the Spirit was present in. The only problem is that we don't really have any progressing people in this area. I think the teaching pool will need a whole remodeling.

Thursday:

Our entire zone met at Phatsimo's (a person we’re teaching) home. All 15 of us followed her to her farm in the bush and went to work hacking away the bush which had overgrown the plots which she uses for planting. We were there for about 4 hours and before going they cooked us some lekgomane and morogo, it was very good.

We had a few lessons today that stuck out, Ontiretse, Amo, and Phatsimo. We took a huge watermelon home after our last lesson at Phatsimo’s. Nakale put it in his bag in front of him like he was pregnant and biked up the treacherous hill to our flat. It was very funny.

Friday:

On our way to the area Nakale was biking behind me with no hands. I looked behind me at one point to see where he was and all I could see was the top of his head sticking out of one of the huge trenches on the side of the road. There are massive trenches for water on either side of the road. While he was riding with no hands he hit a stone and went straight into the ditch. Luckily he didn't get too injured

A member joined us for our first 4 lessons even though we only asked for 1, so that was a lot of fun. After dropping her and then getting lunch at the petrol station we dropped our bikes at the Rabakokos and walked to our next couple lessons. We met with some members in our area for the first time that seem really cool, and they can go teaching with us!

We taught a few more lessons and contacts today.

Saturday:

We biked straight to the petrol station after our morning routines and ate a lot of food to begin our fast.

We contacted a lot of people about church tomorrow, taught a few lessons, and suffered in the heat. Biking in the sun with no water is not a nice combo but we made it work.

Sunday:

We went to church with our friend Kago today, he's the boyfriend of Phatsimo. He told us he's been going to many churches but he hasn't liked any of them. During the testimony meeting he went up and testified of how he knows the BoM is true, that God lives, and that this is His church. It was very powerful!

There was also a baptism at church from the other missionaries so we stayed to watch.

We taught some lessons and then came back around 7 to begin our weekly planning since the rest of our lessons cancelled for the evening.

Also, President and Sister Walker came to our chapel today and told me that if my 90 day waiver isn't renewed tomorrow I'll have to leave Botswana! Pretty crazy, we’ll find out sometime Monday what will happen.

Monday:

So far today we've just slept, cleaned, and relaxed at the flat. We didn't want to go out and do too much today.

We're gonna go grocery shopping in a bit and then have a mission wide devotional over zoom.

Conclusion:

It was a pretty good week, hopefully we can try to revive the area a bit and help our guy Kago continue to progress.

P.S Chaka, from broadhurst, got baptized Sunday!!!!

P.P.S turns out I will find out if I’m getting deported tomorrow
