Week #62 Diamonds And Devos

This week was full of a lot of meetings and staying home with sick missionaries so it wasn't too eventful, but here's the recap.
The week started off with a mission wide devotional where the majority of us gathered in person. We also had our weekly planning which we did in the mall while the car was being washed. We had a few Nxonono’s offer to “show us around Gabs” so that was fun.
We had our mission tour (zone conference that a general authority presides over, and typically tours around the mission) on Wednesday. Due to Elder Sikahema’s (General Authority 70) time frame he couldn't tour the mission so the whole mission gathered together in Gabs for the first time ever.
I learned a lot about “receiving hard counsel” and loving those around us. Elder Sikahema read some excerpts from the dedicatory prayers for Namibia and Botswana, and the Spirit was very tangible as he did so. The blessings promised were immense and are already being fulfilled.
We also had MLC for 3 hours both on Wednesday and Thursday where we got to further discuss the things which we learned.
Between Thursday and Friday I got to teach a few nice lessons in my area and find some really cool FB referrals. We also taught and found some cool people in Elder Mathias’ area, since we’re still double covering.
We also received Elder Law, my MTC companion, as Mathias/Damms companion. We also had Elder Wutkee replace our former district leader.
On Saturday and Sunday I stayed home with Elder Damms since he’s sick, and the other 3 went out teaching. It gave me a lot of time to do some chores and study which was much needed. Since coming to Broadhurst I haven't had much time to study :’(
For P-Day today, we went around to a bunch of diamond refiners/ companies (such as De Beers) wanting to view some diamonds. These places were high high security and we felt very out of place but it was very fun trying to get into many of the places. We're going to try to make reservations for next week. We also got to bargain with a lot of people at the souvenir shops all over the street, it was a lot of fun. Especially when we speak a little setswana with them, then they instantly love us haha.
All in all it was a good week even though it was a bit irregular. I hope you all have a good week
