Week #45 Racing With Purpose... Speedy Servant... Faith In The Fast Lane... Accelerated Blessings... I Could Go On.

I swear these get harder and harder to write each week but here we go…

Tuesday:

After driving for about 1.5 weeks without a license plate on the car we decided that it was about time to buy a new one, especially before our trip to Gabs tomorrow. Almost every lesson was canceled today, we had our first lesson and our last lesson. Between those lessons we contacted a lot of people and also had our ward coordination meeting. We ended The night by packing for Gabs tomorrow and I cooked Madombi (setswana steamed bread, they also call them dumplings here).

Wednesday:

We picked up the Monarch elders and took them to a friend's house for a blessing, then we all met at the Youngs. After sorting out travel plans we hopped in the car and took off for Gabs, after loading up on food ofc. It was me, Santos, Thomas, Dos Santos, and Egburhe. Just before arriving a cop pulled me over and almost gave me what would've been my second ticket ever. It was going to be 1500 Pula but we gave him 300 and he called it shap We met up at the Mochudi chapel with some of the members I was friends with when I served there, they were hyped to see Santos and I since he also served there. We got Dimonates on the way home for dinner, that place is still so good! Also, I taught a lesson with Elder Goff and my son Mosweswe in Mochudi, we taught Rainforce, it went so well.

Thursday:

We went to the stake center in Gabs first thing in the morning. The Zone conference was amazing, President Walker even shared his conversion story which was so cool. It was also a lot of fun to see all the boys there! Shoutout to elder Herrera who's finishing his mission on Tuesday, that guys a G. We ended up sitting outside the church the rest of the evening while the office elders used our car. We got to talk with a lot of old friends as well as my other son Elder Mathias, which was sick. We ended the night by running some errands for our zone members. Being ZL is so fun…

Friday:

We went to the mall before hitting the road, we bought a lot of food and I got a pull up bar for the flat. On our way out the same cop that pulled me over on Wednesday pulled me over. When he walked up to the car and saw me he said , “Ah! You wena, stop speeding!” and then walked away. We taught a couple lessons and contacts once we got back. We also got Indian food for dinner with elders Gibbs and Sackie. O, and i forgot to mention that my former comp, Elder Karp drove up with us to Gerald since he'll be my new comp.

Saturday:

We had to clean out the JoJo baptismal font at the church and fill it up for tomorrow. We taught a bunch of lessons today which was nice and met with some cool FB referrals at a uni campus. Lucia also crushed her baptismal interview so she'll be baptized tomorrow!

Sunday:

I was able to baptize Lucia today which was amazing, she is so smart and has a huge testimony. She'll be a great strength to the branch for sure! Right after the service we rushed to the F-Town chapel so Santos could baptize someone that he found when he served there. We taught a few lessons and then came home a little early to do our studies since we missed them in the morning.

Monday:

We dropped the car at Ford to get it serviced and then walked to the mall to get groceries, I also got a guitar. Elder Young picked us up and took us to his home. We played pickleball, ate nice food as usual, and played a game called 100. You sit in a circle all with a piece of paper, there's one pen and one dice. The person with the pen starts writing as quickly as possible 1 to 100, but, as soon as the person beside them rolls a 6, they take the pen and begin writing. The game continues in a circle until the first person writes number 1 to 100. It was a lot of fun and got very heated. We picked our car up and they didn't even service it so that'll be a problem for another day. We taught a couple lessons to close the night.

Spiritual thought:

Alma 36: 21

21 Yea, I say unto you, my son, that there could be nothing so exquisite and so bitter as were my pains. Yea, and again I say unto you, my son, that on the other hand, there can be nothing so exquisite and sweet as was my joy.

The power of daily repentance brings so much joy. It is a principle of peace and happiness, not fear and shame. As you repent you will feel the Spirit re enter your life and feel God's love. I invite you to adopt the joy of daily repentance if you haven't already. And, watch for the blessings that WILL follow!

Conclusion:

Thanks for catching up on my week. Feel free to message or email me with any questions you have or just wanna talk (I can only reply monday but I love every letter and message). I love you, God loves you, talk next week!
