Week #4 Intruders And Church Trains

Dumela, everyone,

This week has been very eventful.

The week started out with saying goodbye to everyone at the MTC and a few departing devotionals. Me and all the Elders in my district flew to Atlanta and then to J-Berg which was about 20 hours of travel including layovers. We spent the night in a nice hotel in the J-Berg airport with 5 other Elders. The next morning 3 other Elders and I flew to Botswana and met up at the mission president's home to meet all the new and old Elders as well as President and Sister Walker. We had lunch and got to know everyone and then I drove about an hour and half to a city called Kanye where I'll be serving until the 28th and then I'm off to the other country in my mission, Namibia.

We've already been super busy with teaching lessons and rescuing the Sisters from intruders at 5:30 AM as well as many other things.

We walk to church so that we can do a "church train" along the way. This is where we walk along and pick up anyone along the way who would like to join us. We had 3 baptisms after church.

We got to play a lot of hours of football and basketball today since it's our P-Day so that was really fun and was a nice refresher from all the work we've been doing.

Hope you're all doing well!!!

Scripture of the week:
Enos verses 4-5, 8
4 And my soul hungered; and I kneeled down before my Maker, and I cried unto him in mighty prayer and supplication for mine own soul; and all the day long did I cry unto him; yea, and when the night came I did still raise my voice high that it reached the heavens.

5 and there came a voice unto me, saying: Enos, they sins are forgiven thee, and thou shalt be blessed.

8 And he said unto me: Because of thy faith in Christ, whom thou hast never before heard nor seen. And many years pass away before he shall manifest himself in the flesh; wherefore, go to, thy faith hath made thee whole.
