Another week has come and gone in the blink of an eye. It's true when they say the closer you get to the end of your mission the faster it goes!

I called over 100 people in the morning for weekly planning, we then went out and had a lot of amazing lessons. The best of which were as follows:

  1. (Champion Moyo) he is an old man who is a recent convert. We talked with him about his life and how he met his wife. I realized I love listening to other people's stories. We then shared a great temple lesson with him

  2. (Sekake Family) Also recent converts but the father isn't. We had a great lesson about Church, Prayer, and the Scriptures. Hopefully we can baptize the Father

  3. (Kefilwe, her toddler, and her sister) It was by the fireside, we showed a video/ talk from Uchtdorf called daily restoration. I love their family so much!

Wednesday:

We finished teaching Kefilwe and Sticks the principles before baptism. We're just waiting on their marriage now, then they can get baptized!! We found a couple people, checked a lot of recent converts and had a few more lessons.

We went to teach one brother for our last lesson but a drunk guy wouldn't leave us alone. So I went and sat by the fire with him and entertained him while Gibb taught our friend over to the side

Thursday:

Today was my Bday… which meant I was extremely paranoid.

We started off with interviews with President Walker at the chapel. After my interview I was in the chapel while Gibb was being interviewed. Then Elder Tchicumbi (6’4 angolan, Brazilian Ju Jitsu Prodigy) walks in and grabs me while Adolphson ran at me with a cake. I ducked it last minute and he nailed the blinds (don't worry, we cleaned everything up).

I was bombarded with an additional 4 cakes during the day but evaded almost all of them. I locked myself in security booths, used mirrors to peek around corners in my flat, and many other tactics haha. It was a terrifying day.

We did some finding with brother Masutha and had a great lesson with Teenabow and Wandisa!

We biked to CBD (central business district) on the highway to go to “Table 52” for my Bday dinner. Gibb got hit by a semi truck on the way there and cut his arm open but all is well and he managed not to fall over. The food was pretty good and the view was great.

Friday:

We had a good district council and then we went out for the day. We had a great restoration lesson with a “traditional healer” guy that said he wants to turn to Jesus. We biked to the far part of our area called Gabane and had a great lesson with a girl we found last week named Grace. She seems so receptive but she's just living far. We also had a great lesson with Shado's family but she wasn't there.

Saturday:

We had exchanges today, I went with Adolphson to his area. We had a good day and had some great conversations in the car. We also met with a lot of cool people and had some good lessons. We met with a music producer who turned his 1 room house into a studio which was sick and a guy who's trying to run the 400m in the 2028 Olympics.

When we got home Tchicumbi looked exhausted from Elder Gibb cooking him all day on the bike. He told me my son is very powerful.

Sunday:

We had 12 friends come to church today which was so amazing! I shared my testimony as well which I don't typically do but it was really nice to do, I think I'll make a habit of doing it now.

We had a lot of great lessons with our progressing people and also went finding with Brother Masutha again. We found 4 cool young men that are friends.

We finished the night by meeting with the Rampe family who moved to our ward from G-West. They're the pioneer members of Botswana, we heard all about their life story and how they met, had a great lesson, and they gave us food which is always a bonus. It was an amazing end to the night, I already love their family.

Monday:

We played basketball and volleyball in the morning, destroyed Leavitt with cakes for his birthday. Then we destroyed him again later in the day but I can't divulge too much on that one… it was brutal.

We had no power in the flat so I figured out how to fix that in the evening.

Conclusion:

All in all we had a great week, we have a lot of people on date for the 22nd so that'll be great, please keep it in your prayers. Love ya'll have a good week!
