Week #89 Highlights! Solid Week
photos and videos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/
Writing an email gets progressively harder each week but I've made it this far… he's a few highlights from the week.
Said bye to some mission friends at the airport who completed their missions (Sebakile, Whitworth, Opheikens, and Wheeler)
Had many great lessons with Sticks and Kefilwe during the week
Gibb took some little kids bike to our car and fixed it for them
Had a dinner appointment at the EQP's home with the ZL's and sisters. It's one of the very few houses I've seen that has a PS5 in it.
Transfer calls/ transfers were this week, Elder Gibb and I will both be staying. I only have 1 transfer left after this one!
I found Mopane worms so I could cook them for my flat
Asi, Leavitt, and Mosweswe came over so we lined the living room with mattresses and had a wrestling tournament, it was crazy
We were in a trio with Mosweswe from friday-sunday while he waited for his greenie to come in. It was a lot of fun to teach with him since it's been over a year.
Had a zone service project picking up trash in a village that was very far away
Had stake conference which was pretty good. President and Sister Walker gave their final talks in front of the stake (they go home in 4 weeks!). And we even sang In the choir
Had a great lesson with sister Shado (Thato) and her family, I'm excited for her baptism and ultimately theirs too.
I made chapati and Mosweswe made a bomb beef stew that made me sleep like a baby.
For pday we played bball and volleyball which was a lot of fun. We're trying to make pday sports comeback and it's working slowly but surely. We miss the good ol’ days.
Ended the Pday by going with the ZL’s and the Peolwane elders to our recent converts home to celebrate his 12th birthday with him! It was a lot of fun, I love celebrating days with people here.
Peace
Elder Miller
Me and my sons
Saying bye to our departing missionaries
Teaching time - we teach most of our lessons outside
