Hello again. Let's get this started.
Tuesday:
Our Tuesday began as it usually does, with weekly planning, studies, and a bomb breakfast of pancakes and peaches. We went to go proselytizing for the day and got a couple of lessons before our lunch break. We got some very good butter chicken with garlic Naan. The Office Elders met us there to drop off our companion for the day, Elder Niutupuivaha, from Tonga.
We picked up the sisters to drop them at a sisters gathering and then headed back to the area. On our way back we may have gotten into a slight collision. First time for everything I suppose, luckily everyone was fine and the guy was chill.
Once that was resolved we had to pick the sisters and drop them at their home. We managed to teach a few lessons before going home but we missed most of them.
Wednesday:
We had an early morning run to the body shop and then went to Zone Conference. It was all about becoming PMG missionaries, it was very insightful and as always, fun to see and share a meal with everyone!
All our lessons cancelled but one, so we taught Teenabow/ Mandisa with their mother Bontle (Member). They're so smart and are preparing to get baptized together on Wandisa’s 8th birthday which is in August.
Thursday:
Today was so good! We managed to have 12 lessons and a few really stood out! We had an amazing lesson with sister Shado who's on date for baptism, there were also like 10 youth there.
They asked us to teach them how to read the hymn book so I did just that. Then I turned to Elder Gibb and offered to them that he could do a solo, they loved that… he didn't (video in link)
Friday:
We took a long commute in the morning to find the chapel keys, we then went to the chapel for DCM. It was pretty good, the highlight was the Sisters brownies. It's always good to be spiritually fed, followed up with being physically fed
We taught a few lessons and then picked up the sisters to bring them to a member that is deep in our area. Upon dropping them off the member came out and gave us a whole pizza. Shout out to brother and sister Moremong.
We had a handful of more lessons, the best of which were again with Sister Bontke and her kids as well as our lesson with Moses. He's very smart when he's not drunk…
Saturday:
We got 10 lessons today, and we were with Brother Masutha for most of it. This guy is an absolute unit, I've never seen someone so keen for missionary work in my life.
We had a great lesson with Kefilwe/Rasta and Shado again. We sang an opening hymn for our lesson with Shado and her family and it was amazing, until some people started laughing due to disclosed reasons…
Sunday:
We managed to have 9 of our friends come to church which was a blessing! We had no lessons for the day so we just went out to the area.
As we stopped at our first house we saw Bro Masutha checking on people who missed church (like I said, an absolute beast). He said he was hoping we'd take him out, so we went finding the whole day with him haha. We met a couple of cool people.
We ended the night by dropping off chocolates and notes to the senior couples for mothers day, it was a lot of fun :)
Monday:
Today consisted of sleep, 8-ball, cleaning, fire Italian lunch, and a great devotional at the Walkers. The whole Gabs zone gathered together and we had a devotional about putting on the Armour of God.
Conclusion:
We had another great week, the work is just snowballing each week. And, we're having a lot of fun doing it! Take care, read your scriptures, pray daily, and happy Mothers day!
Have a great week,
Elder Miller
