Week #75 Revival In The Rain

I feel like I just wrote an email yesterday but here we go again!


Tuesday:


After weekly planning we had 6 lessons in a row. They all went well and it was very refreshing to have a productive day since last week was a bit tough.


Wednesday:


We waited a couple hours for the ZL's to take us to DCM but it ended up just getting canceled. Once we got into the area we contacted a few friends and had a lesson with Kutlo. He's a brother who was taught once by the previous missionaries, he's very humble, hopefully he can progress. 

We went finding for a few hours since there was absolutely nothing to do, it wasn't very successful. We knocked on one house and they told us to come in, we did. As we entered, there were 4 18-25 year old men playing fifa on a ps3. Before saying anything to us, or us to them, we watched them play an entire match, It was very strange. We finally introduced ourselves, gave them some pamphlets and arranged to come back.


Thursday:


Almost all of our lessons cancelled once we arrived at the home, they said they were busy or weren't home. We did manage to meet with Prince, he's a really cool guy. I think I've talked about him before… I really want to see him baptized, he'd be a great strength to the branch.


We ended the night with a contact at Phatsimos (the one we did zone service for a couple weeks ago). We had a good convo that got pretty sidetracked and crazy but she gave us free peppers and tomatoes


Friday:


Allotment came in today and it was valentines, so Adolphson and Leavitt took us all to KFC and Jimmys. We ended up waiting over an hour at KFC!! 


Once we got dropped at home we had to wait for President and Sister Pule who were coming to the flat to fix some things. They're always so awesome!!!


Once we got in the area we had 3 LMP's and a great lesson with Boipelo. She was previously put on date by missionaries and has been to church 3 times. We read 2 nephi 31 with her and the Spirit was very strong. 


Saturday:


We went to kanye 1 branch for a “revival”. It was mostly kanye 2 who showed up so district president Pule was very unhappy. I got to go finding for a couple hours in the rain with Nakale and my old friends from kanye 1, Joseph and Sheeba. We found a couple cool people as well as a very interesting character…

He told us “I don't want to hear, go away, I'm Satan”, it was pretty funny


Once we got back to our area we had a YSA activity which we went to for a little and then went home. 


It's been raining since yesterday evening and people refuse to meet with missionaries when it rains.


Sunday:


We went to church which had a very low attendance due to the rain. Afterwards, we went home. Since the rain is still going strong people said “I command you not to come” so we weekly planned. After calling everyone in our area book there really wasn't anything left to do.


Monday:


All the cars in Kanye went to Gabs without us so we have been stuck in our flat due to the rain that is still going strong. We just watched some funny church movies, slept, and ordered some KFC.


Conclusion:


The week has been kinda slow due to various activities and weather but it has been a little better than last week. Hopefully things can keep getting better. Love y'all!!

Tuesday: We began the day with weekly planning as we do every Tuesday, it's the worst part of the week. Afterwards we got lunch and hit the area. We had a lot of lessons today but the highlights were with Sticks and Kefilwe who we reviewed the baptismal interview with, they just need to get married. Then a yellow dot named Kago who I absolutely clapped with the Bible, with christlike love of course. Usually I try to avoid throwing bible verses back and forth since it typically leads to contention but every time he said something contrary to the true gospel of Jesus Christ I had to give him a few verses. Lastly, I'll highlight our lesson with Peaches, Habo, and Kealeboga who also always come to church. They're on date for baptism on the 22nd, they're a great family! Week #88 Awesome Week ... Awesome Transfer.

Tuesday: We had a handful of lessons today, as well as weekly planning, and then cleaning the stake center since they were hosting a conference of sorts there. The 2 highlights were the twins who came into the chapel and asked for a tour, and our lesson with Shado/ her family. While we cleaned the chapel 2 identical twin brothers walked in and asked for a tour so we obliged, and then connected them with the missionaries for their area.  Our lesson with Shado was about temples and it was great, we even put 2 of her daughters on date which was amazing. Wednesday: We did our grocery shopping today and Elder Gibb decided he only wanted to eat hotdogs for the week. So I didn't have to buy any meat because he said I can have what's already in the freezer from last week. We had a great lesson with Sticks, Kefilwe, and Rasta.
