Week #74 The Slowest, Fastest Week.

This week was very quick, it was also pretty tiring. This area has been pretty run through to be honest. Sometimes it feels like we're trying to squeeze water out of a rock…

Tuesday:

My weekly planning from last Sunday had 12 lessons lined up, back to back, I was very excited for today. We ended up only having like 4, for some reason people here just love to cancel for no reason at all… very frustrating.

We were teaching some members when Elders Kelley and Kerago showed up from francistown, Kelley leaves tomorrow so he was saying goodbyes.

On our way home we passed the branch president's son, Brooklyn, we took turns racing him on bikes, 3 weeks of practice definitely gave us the advantage.

Kelley and Kerago stayed at our place and played games.

Wednesday:

We got up early and went to Gabs for Zone Conference. It was pretty good, there were some good talks and many lessons learned.

Our zone sang a hymn against my will, I hate singing, but it's better than singing a solo I suppose.

My guy Chaka from Broadhurst was at the Zone conference so I got to eat and talk with him a lot, he's a G.

We slammed 6 of us in a Bakkie on our way back to Kanye. We got back by 6:30 and I was pretty sick so I went to bed and woke up the next day at 6:30

Thursday:

We had 2 lessons that stuck out today, Prince, and Kago/ Phatsimo. Prince is a 22 year old guy that has been taught by a lot of missionaries, he's very charismatic and very smart. His problem is making a friend at church instead of with the missionaries. Hopefully he can keep progressing.

Kago is super cool and is very receptive to the lessons, his girlfriend Phatsimo is cool too but she needs to come to church.

Friday:

We had a district + Adolphson/Leavitt service project, clearing the grass from someone's yard, first thing in the morning. We got some Jimmys on the way home for our hard work, the fries with sauce SLAP!

We taught a member named Sethunya (flower) and then she joined us for our next 3 lessons. They were pretty good, it was nice she could join us because we have very few members in our area.

We visited a member family next, Xolile (Recent Convert), and her three kids, Prince, Emmanuel, and Trish. We had a great lesson and then celebrated Emmanuel's birthday with some cake :)

Our last lesson was with the BP's family, but the BP wasn't there. They're a cool family from Zim, we're going to start teaching with their sons soon.

Saturday:

We had a few lessons that were just OK, the people aren't really progressing. We went to the chapel around 2:45 for ward coordination and then EQ activity from 4-7:30. We had a braii (BBQ) and hung out, it was a lot of fun and the turnout was good.

Today was fun, not the best teaching wise though.

Sunday:

We had 3 friends come to church today. One was a random drunk guy that showed up and happened to live in our area, the other was a little girl that a member brought, and the third was someone we're actually teaching.

We didn't get home until about 12:30, we had lunch and studies and got to the area around 2:30. We made a lot of contacts and all our lessons cancelled, then around 4:45 Nakale's bike completely broke. We were stranded waiting for the ZL's for a while and got home around 6:30.

We didn't go back out since we had no bike and all the lessons cancelled; I made chapati and stew instead. The ZL's came over and we ate together and played games, especially “Farkle”, a classic.

Monday:

We just slept all day, I got a good workout, got groceries, and a huge rainstorm cancelled our lessons from 6-9.

Today was very boring hur also kinda nice to relax.

Conclusion:

Sorry for no spiritual thought this week, and the kinda down email. Hopefully this week can get a bit better, we'll try to revive this area hut it's gonna take a lot of work.

Love y'all
