Hey everyone! Today's email is going to have a bit of a different format because I have many things to do tonight. Here are a few highlights of the week…
Highlights:
We talked with Brother Mosweswe (the father of my trainee from Mochudi) and he told us all about how he started Gerald Branch, which was very cool. Hopefully, we can continue to work with him!
We raced Lucia's (our recent convert) brother Puseletso, which was very funny. He was so sure he would win. I think the Makoa surprised him.
Havea had to go to the dentist today, so that was a nice little morning adventure. We also got 9 lessons the same day, which was great.
We went home-to-home finding in the car since it was 40°C, and we found a cool family that seems interested.
We had a great lunch that the sisters prepared for us.
There was a branch activity where we ate/cooked a lot of Pap and Meat, listened to music, and talked. It was a lot of fun and many of our inactive recent converts and members came, which was amazing! Check out the videos in the link.
We cleaned out the baptismal font (JoJo) Saturday night and flooded the yard.
2/9 people that promised to walk with us to church actually kept their promise. No complaints though, because it's better than 0.
We had Onalethata's (niece of our recent convert from last month, Lucia) baptism, which was amazing, and the program went very smoothly.
Some very drunk father offered Havea and I a glass of Jack Daniels in the middle of our lesson with him and his sober family. It was very funny.
We played a bunch of minute-to-win-it games for P-Day, which were a lot of fun. We also had an amazing meal as usual from our beloved senior couples!
Spiritual Thought:
I believe I shared this invitation some months back, but I honestly can't remember, and I think this talk is so amazing. I invite all of you to LISTEN to “Safety for the Soul” by Jeffrey R. Holland. Each time I listen to this talk, I find new insights and feel the Spirit confirm the truth of his words.
Conclusion:
You're all amazing, thank you for your emails and messages. I love you, and God loves you too. Have a killer week…
