Week #53 One Year!

I'm short on time so that means that this week's email is going to be a highlight reel… enjoy.
Tuesday:
We met with Mmusi and his testimony is growing very quickly. I hope his parents come around and let him, Bogadi, And Boitshepo get baptized.
Wednesday:
Today was my official 1 year mark on mission!!! Elder Havea and I crushed a bunch of fried chicken to celebrate.
We were teaching a lady we found at her house about the Godhead. I explained that God has a body like us and shared Exodus 33:11 to show how Moses saw God face to face and spoke as a man speaks with his friend. She was very confused because she he thought lived in heaven not earth, we got a kick out of that.
We also found an inactive member family of 7. We set a time to meet with them so hopefully we can get to know them better.
Thursday:
Havea and I sat at the chapel for 30 minutes waiting for the other missionaries to come for our district council meeting. We eventually realized that our district leader misinformed us and our DC’s are always on Fridays so that was very funny.
We moved some cinder blocks for a member, and talked about our mission as well as her mission, it was a lot of fun.
We had some emergency exchanges with some elders in our zone as well.
Friday:
We started the morning at the dentist so that Havea could get his teeth checked out. Our next 5 lessons canceled once we arrived at their house, it was pretty exhausting.
Lucia showed us to one of her friends' house where we found 3 new people. A little kid came streaking out of the house naked and Havea started chasing him with a stick it was hilarious.
We had a nice lesson with the Louis family about temples and sealing. They're an amazing family, hopefully the Youngs can help them get married soon.
Saturday:
We had district council today. I gave a training on integrity. We had a nice meeting and then cleaned up the chapel a bit.
We walked into the chapel for a lesson we were going to have but it was full of youth dancing and practicing for the culture activity on the 28th. It was very funny, they love dancing so much here.
We went to teach some recent converts but there were some very drunk guys outside. They were telling us a lot of wild stuff. The first was “Jesus turned water to alcohol so that we can drink”.
Sunday:
We had low attendance today because it was very cold and windy. We still had a nice service though.
Lucia joined us for another lesson and then the sisters joined us for our next lesson.
We met with Onaletatha and her mother joined us, it was our first time meeting her. She agreed that Ona can be baptized, which was a huge miracle.
We met with the branch president and his family, which was very nice. We went to an investigator nearby and we don't know how we got into contact with him. It turns out he's actually an inactive member and he seems really cool, we just talked and then shared a small message.
Monday:
We had our typical activities of cleaning, shopping, games, eating, etc.
Lucia joined us for 2 lessons this evening which both went really well. They were both families that we taught. Lucia did a great job of helping us teach.
Conusion:
I love you all, thank you so much for the emails (I'll try to reply next week)! I pray that you can have a great week
Love Elder Miller

Elder Havea is a great teacher. We mostly teach our lessons outside our friends homes in this mission.
Much needed.
One of our awesome sisters.
Most people have a setup like this for cooking. I want to bring one home.
One year!!! We celebrated with a good lunch.
