Week #39 Chicken Feet, Zone Conference And Some Great Ball

I don’t have much time so let's get straight into it…



Tuesday:

Taught a sister today who locked her elderly mom inside the house who kept trying to escape

Taught Rainforce and Pauline, they're progressing so well!!!

Had some nice chips-mayai and pinenut for dinner

Mathias tried to jump on his bed at night and completely missed. He flew right between the beds and smacked on the floor



Wednesday:

Went to the dentist in Gabs with Law to get some teeth touched up. 

Found a cherry coke! wow, I forgot how good they are, it’s the little things.

A lot of elders came over to our flat from Francistown so they could drive with us to Gabs for zone conference tomorrow



Thursday:

We had zone conference today. It was so awesome and our temporary president (Chadambuka) gave a great training. It was fun to see all of the boys there.

We got back to Mochudi for ward correlation which was canceled

The elders from Francistown stayed one more night since there wasn’t enough time for them to drive there tonight



Friday:

We had district council outside the sister's flat. They cooked us chicken feet so that was a first. Not my favorite that's for sure, but not bad. Video included in the link.

We taught a lot of lessons today

We put our friend Onkarabile on date



Saturday:

We went to the chapel for the Elders Quorum meeting. While we were there we discussed with the sisters about the goat we want to buy for next week.

Two returned missionaries helped us teach a family. They are so funny and were great teachers as well.

We got a lot of lessons in today as well



Sunday:

Rainforce and Pauline came to church!

Botlhale got confirmed today!

All of the Mochudi Missionaries went to a member's home. We helped BBQ and we ate some nice food (pap, steak, coleslaw, beetroot, chakalaka)



Monday:

We went to Gabs early to play BBall. We beat Elder 2J (undefeated in all 2 years of his mission) and his team. It went to game 7, we were down 9-0 but we clutched up!

We all went to RocoMamas for dinner with like 25 elders which was fun

We got back to Mochudi and taught Reinforce and Pauline. They basically put themselves on a baptismal date!

Tuesday: We began the day with weekly planning as we do every Tuesday, it's the worst part of the week. Afterwards we got lunch and hit the area. We had a lot of lessons today but the highlights were with Sticks and Kefilwe who we reviewed the baptismal interview with, they just need to get married. Then a yellow dot named Kago who I absolutely clapped with the Bible, with christlike love of course. Usually I try to avoid throwing bible verses back and forth since it typically leads to contention but every time he said something contrary to the true gospel of Jesus Christ I had to give him a few verses. Lastly, I'll highlight our lesson with Peaches, Habo, and Kealeboga who also always come to church. They're on date for baptism on the 22nd, they're a great family! Week #88 Awesome Week ... Awesome Transfer.

Tuesday: We had a handful of lessons today, as well as weekly planning, and then cleaning the stake center since they were hosting a conference of sorts there. The 2 highlights were the twins who came into the chapel and asked for a tour, and our lesson with Shado/ her family. While we cleaned the chapel 2 identical twin brothers walked in and asked for a tour so we obliged, and then connected them with the missionaries for their area.  Our lesson with Shado was about temples and it was great, we even put 2 of her daughters on date which was amazing. Wednesday: We did our grocery shopping today and Elder Gibb decided he only wanted to eat hotdogs for the week. So I didn't have to buy any meat because he said I can have what's already in the freezer from last week. We had a great lesson with Sticks, Kefilwe, and Rasta.
