Week #26 S I X M O N T H S
Six months ago I started my mission!
This week was a little hectic, Let's begin.
Tuesday:
We had weekly planning in the morning. After that finished we went to Fork N Nice with the Zone leaders (Elders Lymphane and Steimle) because they were on exchanges with us. We literally watched some seagull gangs try to kill each other, it was pretty wild. Since weekly planning took so long we only taught a few lessons today and we contacted a lot of people. We tried a Wambo fruit today from a member. I can't remember the name of it but it's a seed with skin around it that tastes kinda like a raisin. We went home and whipped up some burgers which were nxa!
Wednesday:
The Zone leaders left for Windhoek this morning and then Karp and I went and taught a lesson. Afterwards, we went to Walvis Bay airport to pick up 2 sisters (Macanda and Mununga) who were coming To Swak. We took them around Swak and taught a few lessons with them and got some Hungry Lion to finish the night.
Thursday:
We taught an early lesson today, then took the sisters to the classic breakfast spot, I don't think I need to mention where we went, you all know. We split up with them afterward and we went and got our tires rotated on our car. We taught a bunch of lessons today which was nice. One of which is a very awesome family that is loving the gospel.
Friday:
During our first lesson today a crowd of people were all smoking a bunch of weed beside us. They were all passing a blunt around and kept going to the tuckshop on the other side of us to buy more. One guy came up and asked for a BOM. We gave him one but I'm fairly certain that he just wanted the thin pages to roll another joint, but who am I to assume I guess 🤣 We taught a few lessons and then we went to the chapel for youth activity, we played mafia which was really fun! We taught 4 more lessons tonight and also helped Queeny fetch water from the tap nearby.
Saturday:
We grabbed some donuts this morning and had one that had biltong on it which is essentially beef jerky. It was very strange. I also got an apple caramel so that was much better. Our first lesson was over the phone and we woke her up by calling, she was sleeping like the whole lesson I think. Phone lessons suck. We taught some lessons, and then mission prep which went well. Our next lesson was with a lady that we thought was progressing but she rambled for 30 minutes after our lesson. She talked about how she makes FB videos, prophesying of the end of the world and how energy drinks are imbued with evil spirits who will possess you if you drink them. We ended the night by going to Brother Ebens house so he could wash our car, all of the youth were there and were dancing and talking and kicking a soccer ball around, it was a lot of fun!
Sunday:
Church was good Today. The highlight was after church when we were talking with the members, they are so funny here. After church we went to the flat and made some food, then we took a quick nap, studied, and headed out for the day. Most of our lessons canceled but we contacted some friends. Our last lesson was with Grace and Queeny. Siegfried and Joel were there as well so it was a very nice lesson. We went and fetched water afterward.
Monday:
I got up early to call the fam today and then we left the flat early. We picked up Siegfried and Joel and we took them with us to Windhoek for Zone conference tomorrow. We went to the mall with some elders which was fun, we got a few things. After that we headed to Chinatown and got some sock ties, it was fun to barter with the cashier. We went back to the mall for dinner with all the Nam missionaries as well as president/sister walker and the AP’s. It was a nice Italian restaurant and I got some nxa pizza. We contacted a sister who I taught over the phone while I was with Elder Were in Swak. She got baptized in Windhoek but I never got to meet her in person so we said hi quickly. We stopped at the other elders flat for a while and chilled. We came back to our flat and got ready for bed.
Conclusion:
It was a good week but kinda crazy, sorry for the typos and plain email but I didn't have much time as usual. Stay blessed, love you all, and I pray for you continually!

Windehoek- the capital city of Namibia.
Visiting a friend.
The sunsets are always incredible.
Our favorite place. Had to hit this when the zone leaders were visiting.
