Week #1 Home MTC!
Hello everyone,
Today marks the first whole week of my mission. I took my last online MTC class this afternoon, and fly out to Provo tomorrow to begin my two weeks of in-person training at the Provo MTC. At home, MTC was easier than expected. My companion, Elder Law, and my district seem great, so I’m excited to meet them at the MTC. Regardless of all that, the endless Zoom classes were still exhausting, and it’s been tiring getting used to waking up at 6:30 every day.
Nothing crazy happened this week, but I’m sure there’ll be a lot of exciting experiences in the MTC.
On P-day and in my free time I’ve been visiting the puppies my grandpa's dog Annie just had. There are six of them, and they’ll be 4 weeks old tomorrow. There’s also been a lot of competitive pickleball matches with the family.
This email is a short one since not much has happened this week, but I’ll talk to you all next week with more stories.
Spiritual thought: One of the sisters in my district talked about the Hebrew word “Hesed.” it has no direct translation to English but is often compared to steadfast love, mercy, kindness, and goodness. It is also known as the love that is shared between ourselves and Jesus Christ when we make covenants.
Scripture of the week:
Ether 12:6 - …faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.
