Blessing From Papa

Dearest Heath, in the name of Jesus Christ and by authority of the Melchizedek priesthood I lay my hands on your head to give you a blessing of comfort, direction and according to the Lord’s endowment with power and confidence as you go forward in service in Botswana and Namibia. We recognize the many unique things that are there but you come from a rich heritage of people who know how to do difficult things and you can draw upon that strength and you can even in your prayers, petition the Father, that these good souls from your familial past might be blessed to be able to come and guide and direct your footsteps.

Your progenitor, my grandfather, with a spirit of adventurism and a desire to support his family that they might be brought to Zion unto Africa in order to seek sufficient needs to be able to transport them here, with many tales and much strength developed along the way. The Lord preserved him. Of those who went, he was the only one that lived according to the covenants that he had entered into who was a member of the church and he was the only surviving member of the party.

 So too you can hold fast to your obedience and maintenance of your position before God through the covenants that you entered into. The Lord will prosper you and bless you and angels will be dispatched to your aid to uphold you and sustain you whatever the circumstances. 

Your ancient progenitor Abraham, from whom you derive many of the promised blessings and obligations, in fact, the very reason that you serve, is that Abraham was given a vision whereby his descendants were seen abroad in the land through all the nations blessing the families of the earth through the gospel of exaltation, the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in your day.

Abraham was one who was called by the Father to depart from his home and walk as a stranger in a foreign land. Thus you find yourself fulfilling the mandate of Abraham. Departing from your home and the comforts thereof as a stranger in a foreign land, to those inhabitants there but not to the Lord. As Abraham was prospered, so to you will be prospered. And the formula for so doing is the same as it always has been. To be faithful in those things that you have entered into by covenant. And to be faithful in your prayers trusting the Lord will bless and empower you. In faith believing, doubting nothing. 

You draw upon an even more ancient heritage as you have been tutored by divine parents before this second estate began. You likewise were under the captaincy on the Great Jehovah in the conflict of Heaven. You saw great and wonderous things there as the adversary of all was dispatched. You played a pivotal role and were considered one of the noble and great ones. So described by Jehovah to that same Abraham from whom you descend. You are a birthright son and thus have the responsibility to receive of the abundance of the Lord that you might give of that abundance and preservation of the lost, the forlorn and the disadvantaged. I bless you that these examples of your history will rest with confidence upon your mind and you will know that as great things, even sometimes difficult things were undertaken successfully, so this will be a similar extension of those same experiences of the past.

I bless you that you will have the ability to exercise good judgment in circumstances that you are not familiar with, if you will hesitate,  pray within yourself that the Father bless you and then be sensitive as you wait and ponder a response that the thoughts that will flood your mind and enter into your heart will guide your footsteps. You will know in the very moment in which you require help and assistance how you should proceed. The Lord will preserve you by this simple test. Be patient. Wait upon his impressions and once received, act upon them with confidence.

As you partake of the sacrament worthily every Sunday you are promised that the comforter and the testator of all truth will reside with you and his agents will bear you up, even the holy spirit. Thus those impressions that you receive throughout your day are born of that spirit. You needn't doubt - act in faith trusting that the Lord will guide you.

I bless you with health and strength. Notwithstanding the peculiarities of a foreign land, I bless you that your constitution will be blessed and reinforced that you will be able to run and not be weary, walk, and not faint. I bless you that your systems will be regulated such that the heat won't pray upon you and neither will the cold. I bless you that your digestion will be able to adapt to the realities of life in Africa. This horn of civilization is in explosive need of the message of the restoration of the holy apostleship. 

This is the message that you bear. That Christ has called apostles again in modern days. That the prophet guides the undertakings of the church of Jesus Christ upon the earth today and the principal cornerstone of that edifice is Jesus Christ himself. That he directs the affairs of his kingdom, directs his servants as to how to activate upon the principles that will deliver the gospel to the masses that they might be pricked in their hearts and as in ancient days cry out men and brethren, what shall we do? You will hear these words spoken in one way or another. Your response is that of Peter. You will speak with clarity. Repent and be baptized, every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ and receive the gift of the holy ghost.

I bless you with the gift of Paul who was called to minister to the Gentiles in his day. So too it is given you at a pivotal time to carry a gospel message to the gentile nations so-called in Africa that they might be enlived by the promise of the gospel and the call to join with their families under covenant that they might be constituted on earth but sealed in heaven and thus an eternal unit joined together in faithfulness and by righteous. 

I bless you with the ability to give and take council. I bless you that you will be able to find optimistically the opportunities of service, even in dire circumstances. And most significantly Heath, there are those that will guide your footsteps. There are those dear ones who are very much concerned about us from beyond the veil. I, through this blessing and under authority, commission them and call them forward to be your guardian angels of the way. That they will guard your footsteps and circle you roundabout when needs be, protecting you not only from the darts of the adversary but also from any bad intentions that might otherwise be directed, misguidedly so, to you. 

I bless you with the capacity to sleep and to derive comfort and repose each night with confidence that the Lord will be with you when you awaken. There is no need for you to be worrisome or to fret about those things that are beyond your control but step forward in faith having seen the great Jehovah, when the father petitioned for whom he should send to redeem the world, he uttered the words,” Here am I, send me”. So you have done and may yet do on many other occasions. Be one who is quick to stand and say, you can trust me to do this work. As you labor for and in behalf of these good souls that you are called to love and serve and those that you will serve with. I bless you with the capacity to be a leader amongst your peers. I promise you that the Lord will uphold you and will bless you both in peace and in commotion you need not fear. The Lord your helper will ever be near and his agents to bear you up.
